I am popping into your inbox on New Year’s Eve to say thank you, Moneda Moves readers. Thank you for sharing your stories, for listening, reading, and for being a part of this community. I created this platform as a way to be the change I wanted to see in diverse Latinx money stories from a journalistic point of view.
Along the way we’ve met money experts, fintech entrepreneurs and I’m glad to say the growing members of this community that has set out to inspire and educate our diverse communities to take control of their money and build wealth and legacy for generations to come. I’m so looking forward to continuing our road together in 2022 which will feature more story-sharing around the how of money can work for you, personal dinero stories from public figures and opportunities to bring together our communities.
In the meantime, feliz año nuevo. Enjoy your loved ones, and we will see you in the new year! Leaving you with the latest episode of Moneda Moves, below.

Headlines to put on your radar.
Building Credit For A Global Generation: As we emerge post-pandemic, we've entered a new era. An era that's transferred to a new generation we call Generation G, for global. These are often hard-working young adults, hungry to effect change and contribute to economic growth. They also more often have a good amount of cash versus good credit history.
It's this audience that Kristy Kim, founder credit building startup TomoCredit is tapping into. Picture this: You're an immigrant student attending one of the most prestigious schools in the US, with a good track record otherwise, but getting rejected from auto rate, insurance loans, mortgage because you don't have a credit score.
That was exactly Kristy's issue and one she knew affected so many people living in the US, especially immigrants who didn't grow up building credit. Informed by her personal experience and that of her industry after working internationally in VC, she built TomoCredit for over 30M people who were just like her and never got the chance to start building credit.
We spoke with Kristy about the difficulties behind building credit in the US, and how TomoCredit seeks to solve these very issues. No te lo quieres perder.
Thank you for joining us! Until next week, catch us here on Moneda Moves.
